The first book in this series, Captured, is free.
Imprisoned by Caleb and at the mercy of the king, Aria is determined not to let them break her. However, the more atrocities she witnesses, the more she realizes there are some horrors no one can withstand, and sometimes survival isn’t always the best option.
Tormented by the loss of Aria, Braith is forced to choose between his need to rescue her, and the impending rebel war he’s been chosen to lead. Fighting against the darkness which threatens to drag him into its tempting depths, Braith struggles not to become the one thing he hates the most, his father.
Faced with their separate challenges, Aria and Braith must come to terms with who they are, what they want, and the likelihood that they can never be together as the inevitable war looms on the horizon. A war that all of them will fight but not all of them will survive.
Mature YA/New Adult. This book contains some language, violence, and sexual situations. Recommended for ages sixteen and up.

Until now, I have not been a fan of vampire stories but this Series grabbed me by the heart. The love between Braith, the vampire and Aria, the human was so strong, nothing was going to keep them apart. The trials they go through to build a world where vampires and humans can live together and be accepted was written so well. The description that Erica Stevens put into the scenes allowed me to open my mind and envision it all unfolding before me. The suspense and tension that she builds up through the events of the war and the aftermath as well as the terrible treatment of the humans and the viciousness of some of the vampires was perfect allowing the reader to really feel the pain that they had went through. There were so many twists and turns and heart-wrenching moments - just AWESOME! The sexual scenes in this whole Series are very different than what you might expect and the bonding that took place between Braith and Aria through the sharing of their blood instead of their bodies was just as exciting as an erotica novel. After finishing Salvation, I feel like the story has come to an acceptable end and although I will continue reading the remainder of the Series with other characters as the mains, I do hope to hear more from Braith and Aria in the future books. Their love and leadership is so powerful, I am sure there are more stories lingering in the mind of Ms. Stevens :)Product details

Salvation The Captive Series Book 4 edition by Erica Stevens Leslie Mitchell G2 Freelance Editing Romance eBooks Reviews
I can't even begin to express the pure awesomeness of this book!!!!!! I own the complete series and each book is awesome in their own right, but this book is the icing on the cake. Erica Stevens doesn't let her readers down and knows very well how to keep them on their edge of their seats. This story doesn't let up at all and hits the ground running with intensity. I am sure that all her fanbase were collectively holding their breaths at each twist and turn and each dilemna that characters faced as they read. This is such a tender and wonderful story. Aria is such a brave and strong character and Braith is such a man's man!!! Each show their vulnerability, but it doesn't take away from them at all. If anything it enhances the desire to know them more. They are such a team together, like any real relationship should be.
We get to see all the characters evolve as the world that they once thought they knew changes around them. They have to make some very tough choices. The problems are real. The choices are hard. Stevens fleshes out these characters with seeming ease. I have a real admiration for Aria. Throughout the whole story she knows how to encourage herself to get what needs to be done, done. She still shows her fears, but she doesn't let them overtake her to the point of ever giving up.
I love the love that they share for each other. It isn't shallow at all. Their love shows not through just mushy words and emotions, but the actions that they display. I am going to miss these characters. I am somewhat sad that this is the last book in the series. That may seem strange, but reading these books, I almost feel like I went through the whole ordeal with them; cheering them on and ripping apart the bad guys.
Just about every book that Erica Stevens has put out, I own. She is a brilliant writer and she has an uncanny way of bringing each character to life. She really puts the reader in the world of each book. From the Kindred series and the Ravenous series to the Captive series and the Survivor Chronicles series, Stevens knows how to weave an intricate and complex story and make her readers hang on every word she writes. Every word.
This was a much anticipated ending to a roller coaster series that had me screaming for more. After finishing book one two and three I could not believe book four Salvation had not been published. I devoured this book like a quick snack and felt like I had not eaten at all. The young, immature heroine was spared a worse tragedy than what she could have endured and i was pleased with that; however i feel like readers deserved more than what we got with Aria and Braith's reunion. After enduring three books of fore play we did not get the expected "climax" . What we got was more like a dash of tepid water thrown at us. In the future I will likely stay away from cliffhangers. I do not enjoy the feeling of hanging. I will stay away from romance books books with a young girl as the heroine. I have to conclude that the author had to tread lightly in bringing Aria's and Braith's relationship to a respectable end and left out the Hot romance. Mark this for young readers
I looked forward to reading this final book in the series and I was not disappointed. What a fantastic wrap up! It wasn't rushed but it didn't drag out either. We got to see more of all the main characters - not just Aria and Braith. I loved how they found each other again and the little twists that were revealed throughout. Most importantly I love that Aria remained true to herself. She didn't lose her spirit no matter what happened. I will definitely have this series on my 'to read again' list.
